3. Hot Chip, Losing My Head (Superpitcher Dub)
Hot Chip is bringing a previously unreleased track today, Losing My Head (Superpitcher Dub), which aims to raise money for the climate emergency action group EarthPercent. The track is available for purchase on Bandcamp, and Hot Chip explains the reasons behind his charity in a statement. “Despite the challenges our industry faces in modifying its working methods in order to limit the damage to the climate, we believe it is incredibly important to address those changes,” the band said.

Experimental gospel and R&B vocalist serpentwithfeet (aka Josiah Wise ) today announced the release of a new EP, DEACON’S GROVE , due out November 5 via Secretly Canadian. Wise is also bringing a video for the lead single from the EP, Down Nuh River, directed by Wise with Keith Nedd Bridgeman. Wise explains the new song in a press release: “When I was working at Down Nuh River , I would think of all the songs that I and my friends and cousins made up as kids. We had a lot of fun creating and reinventing songs in the backyard and on the porch. I wanted to channel that energy into this song.”
5. Troye Sivan, Angel Baby
Following the release of his new track titled Angel Baby, Australian Troye Sivan is coming up with the official video for the track, which apparently pays homage to classic anthems like Cyndi Lauper ‘s Time After Time and Alphaville ‘s Forever Young . 6. Nicki Nicole, Tiny Desk (Home) Concert
Argentinian star Nicki Nicole released her intimate NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert today, offering a bit more of what to expect from the 21-year-old’s debut album, Part of Me . Later, she gives us the theme Part of Me, with a string quartet. Enjoy the excellent rendition above.
7. Madison Beer, Reckless + Sour Times
Madison Beer was the most recent guest at Vevo’s live sessions, where she was performing her songs Reckless and Sour Times . With her eyes closed, Madison seems to be carried away by the reason for the chimes that her guitarist chooses for her, entering the world of each of her tracks and her lyrics. Totally comfortable, this Vevo LIFT alum guides us through her emotions as her vocal skills guide the action. Enjoy Madison upstairs.
8. Chloë, Have Mercy
Last night on The Tonight Show, rising pop-R&B superstar Chloe Bailey gave a rendition of her anthem Have Mercy. Backed by a string orchestra, the multi-talented singer introduced the song as a classical sonata at the outset, clad in a billowy white dress with a teddy top. But then, she took off her train, showing off the sultry theme of the single, putting on a virtuoso display of her voice and her dancing talent.
